Introduction
500 years before Christ was born, there lived a man named Heraclitus. Heraclitus was in the business of training soldiers. He is reported to have said: “Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.”

The Thang
EMOM (Every Minute On the Minute) style workout with a twist.
Pax mosey’d to the low wall area where YHC had pre-set some easter eggs. A 115 lb straight bar and an 85 lb wavy bar sat on mats in the grass. The reaction to YHC’s surprise was as varied as it was colorful.
Pax were to rotate to the bars as desired and put in work. 5 x Power Cleans and then back to your spot to jump back in the EMOM.
1st Evolution:

Alternating Runner’s Stretch with remaining time
2nd Evolution:
10 x rounds
10 x KB swings
5 x burpees
Rest with remaining time
3rd Evolution:
5 rounds (cut short on time)

Hamstring Stretch with remaining time
Pax put in work. Pax suffered. Pax hated the music. Pax got better.
Circle of Trust
Again – we kept George, Anna, Amy, and Amanda in our prayers. Thought was given to those families and teachers who are struggling with the coming school year and how to juggle work/life/schooling. Sloppy Joe reminded us that many lives do not resemble our own – there are many kids at home without parents to teach them. Children as young as 10 holding and feeding babies while family is out at work. The uncertainty of this time provides an opportunity for uncommon men to make an uncommon impact.
Naked Man Moleskin
YHC reminded Pax that we were already uncommon men. We are driven to get up every morning and get better and the gloom belongs to us. But that isn’t enough. Be the uncommon of the uncommon. The quote from Heraclitus was read again:
