Introduction
Leading into today’s Q YHC was looking at some USGS topo maps for the Grove and surround area. To my dismay there was roughly 20 ft of elevation change from high to low point of the surrounding area. Not to worry! we’ll make our own hills to climb.
Warm-O-Rama
0528 (Couple minutes early but who’s counting) Quick mosey around the bottom parking lot then circled up.
SSH
Windmill
Imperial Walkers
Weed Pickers
Hold Deep Squat
The Thang
PAX each grabbed an item out of the supply bag and began our short mosey with a coupon, kettle bell, weighted ball, and jump rope.
1st Stop – Monument stairs #1 (I believe QT dubbed this one Pikes Peak mid BD)
Exercise #1 – Weighted climb with coupon to top of stairs then 20 thrusters
Exercise #2 – American Hammers with weighted ball
Exercise #3 – Bonnie Blairs x 20 then jump rope
Exercise #4 – Slalom Ski Crunches
Exercise #5 – Curls with Kettle Bell
All exercises were based off of how long it took a PAX member to complete exercise #1. Once the PAX member returned from the “summit” PAX rotated through all stations until complete. Summit #1 was conquered so onto stop #2.
2nd Stop – Monument Stair #3 (QT has dubbed Denali due to the larger scale)
Rinse and Repeat
Grab the equipment and mosey back to the flag. Plenty of time left for an abbreviated version or DORA at the lower parking lot which is roughly the size of a track.
100 – Bear Crawl Steps
200 – Mountain Climbers
300 – yard run back to the flag
Finished up with a circle of Mary. There were alot of moving parts this morning, PAX did an awesome job.
Circle of Trust
Count off then name-o-rama.
Told a litle bit about myself – background, family, job, marraige and some of the struggles associated with that.
Prayers for Spooner’s parents and they’re continued recovery from COVID. Prayers for my Uncle’s family and his passing.
Naked Man Moleskin
It’s a great feeling to have the opportunity to lead a group supportive HIMs. BA Out!
