Introduction
I was pretty excited that it was raining for my beat down this morning. I’m now up to 50% dry beat downs. As Dakotoes pointed out, this BD should be subtitled “Pushups around the World”

The Thang
Ran from the lower lot to the upper lot by the tennis courts (further than I remembered, and the group in the back didn’t let me forget how far away it was). Once there, together we did 8 pushups, 10 second side plank, 7 pushups, 10 second side plank, 6 pushups, etc. until no more pushups remained – for a total of 36 pushups. Lots of grunting and groaning already.
Ran to the 5 points, we did 25 pushup jacks and 25 big boy situps on our own in whatever sets and reps worked for our own individual arms and abs. Kathmandid has already complimented me on the amount of running and pushups. At this point I didn’t realize it, but I will receive many more compliments as the morning goes on.
Ran to the field by across from the flag, but found it to be out of order, so ran to the field next to it and did a sideways bear crawl (making sure to keep our back horizontal, thighs 90 degrees to the ground/90 degrees at hips and knees, up on our toes) for half the width of the field. Once at the sideline, we did 20 burpees, and the sideways bear crawl back to midfield. Drafty’s kilt was extra drafty this morning, but he pushed through. His height privilege did not play to his favor for this one.
That field was pretty wet, so we ran to the dry concrete entrance by the lower fields and did 5 moving pushups, got up and did 5 knee tuck jumps, 5 moving pushups back the other direction, 5 knee tucks, etc. until we performed 30 of each exercise. During this exercise, we realized Gucci was at the wrong location and was actually supposed to be at the women’s yoga class. While waiting on the 6, we weren’t sure if Gadget was in the resting position or hugging Al Gore, but after further investigation, it turns out he was actually taking a crap.
Ran up to the playground near the hidden field and did 20 Carolina Dry Docks/V-pushups together. QT got a self forced face plant taste of playground mulch at this point.
Ran to the lower lot where Dakotoes coined the “Pushups around the World” name for the BD. So we only got in the pushup position for this one (high plank), but didn’t do any pushups. We performed 20 plank punches in cadence. Afterwards, I think I saw Kathmandid praying a prayer of thanksgiving for this workout.
Unable to use his arms anymore, QT left at this point. The rest of us ran back to flag and performed 20 squat pushups after Gadget finished his crap.

As we ran from spot to spot today, there was always someone in front of you, or an exercise waiting for you at the end. I wanted to remind everyone NOT to give up on the resolutions and also to keep moving toward that next group of people ahead of you during the run, or the next position at your job, or the next level in your relationship with your wife, kids, or even our Heavenly Father. We’ve all got goals ahead of us – small steps will add up and get you there.
