Introduction
We finally found Spooner’s kryptonite.
Warm-O-Rama
Since the stadium was locked, we moseyed up to the band field for:
Weed Pickers 10X IC
YHC wanted to do LBAC’s Nancy Kerrigan style with one foot behind. To everyone’s surprise and delight, this was virtually unachievable by our very own gazelle Spooner. He gave it a valiant effort, however, and should be praised for his perseverance.
LBAC’s Nancy Kerrigan Forward 10X, Backward 10X, Cherry Pickers 10X, Arm pretzels 10X.
Mountain Man Poopers 10X IC.
At some point, Swedish Ham moseyed up out of the gloom. Rumor is he is actually a black cat that lives at Hillgrove and transforms into human form for the beat downs.
SSH 15X IC. Scratch that. YHC wanted to try up straddle hops. You hop on one leg whilst doing the arm motion for a ssh. 15X each side. QT and Twinkle Toes gave us quite a show with their raised leg. Rockettes better watch out!
To the goal line for the first Thang.
The Thang
Quarter Pounder:
Bear crawl to the 25 yard line. Shout out to QT and Wall Ball for setting up some cones to help those of us who can’t really do math. Anyhoo, bear crawl to the 25, do 25 BBSU, mosey back to goal line. Spooner, upset with his inability to balance on one foot, smoked everyone and was back at the goal line in no time.
All gazed in wonder as the longest shooting star in history streaked across the sky right above us. Spooner missed it because of his gazelle-ness.
Crab walk to 50 yard line. Do 50 squats – best ball style. Mosey back to goal line.
Frog jump to 75 yard line (other 25). Do 75 mountain climbers best ball style. There were some modifications to bunny hops allowing Swedish Ham to get started climbing the mountain early. No complaints since it was best ball. Mosey back to goal line.
Bernie Sanders to the other goal line. Do 100 SSH best ball style.
Continuing our ring around the Grovey, we moseyed to the front of the building. Circled up for Wavey Merkins. All hold plank. QIC does one merkin. PAX go around the circle doing one merkin each, like the wave. Then 2 merkins, then 3, then 4, then finally 5. Hold plank the whole time. There was much rejoicing to be finished with this.
Continuing The Ring, we moseyed to the other side of the school for a mini-Dora. School officials have removed the tables, so we had to modify dips to the stairs. Partner up to complete 150 dips. Partner runs up and down the stairs. Flapjack until reps are done.
Completing the Ring Around the Grovey, mosey all the way past the lfag to the other side of the school with a giant wall. Wall sit until the six is in. Chicken peckers on the wall. Then another wall sit until Mr. Pink said we were done. We were done immediately. So back to BTTW until Wall Ball said we were done.
At this point, YHC lost track of time and space. Wall Ball must be a bat and spend his days inverted. The blood rushing to YHC’s head overcame his senses. He heard faint whispers of a gaseous release by Wall Ball before finally collapsing back to earth to regain his senses. Unfortunately, this included the sense of smell, which made YHC and others wish they were still inverted or perhaps unconscious. Once more wall sit before heading back to the flag.
Round of Mary including LBC’s, Peter Parkers, American Hammers, Freddie Mercury’s, Dying Cockroaches, Side Planks, Box Cutters, and BBSU.
Finish up with a round of Howling Monkeys.

Circle of Trust
Mr. Pink started a great tradition last week by encouraging Q’s at The Grove to share a little about their story as a way to get to know each other. YHC shared about growing up in GA, getting degrees in music education from Georgia State and University of Hawaii, meeting his wife, and having 2.0’s.
Also shared about the life-changing experience of going through 2 miscarriages. It sounds weird, but it was such a blessing to grow closer to the M and to the SkyQ. Incredibly hard, but incredibly good.
Also prayers for Spooner’s dad, recently diagnosed with COVID, and mom. And for Swedish Ham’s job interview later this week.
Naked Man Moleskin
Chilly morning, but well worth beating the fart sack to spend it with some amazing HIM’s. Loved the mumblechatter this morning. What an honor to lead at The Grove!
