‘Prepardness’ a Short Story

YHC was tired this morning. After forging knifes with Rapid Fire all day the day before YHC did not feel like getting out of the fartsack, much less posting to the BD. However, for reasons still unknown YHC drug his weary body out of bed, threw on some shorts, and made it to The Forge.

As I pulled in to the parking lot, with no real time to Prerun since I had grappled with the fartsack for so long, Dakotoes pulled in right behind me. As we got out of the truck he made is way over and said he wasn’t feeling well. Dakotoes then asked if YHC wouldn’t mind leading today. Without hesitation YHC replied “Of course, No problem!”

Dakotoes proceeded to take chalk and write out a Dora and we discussed a few details concerning the workout. Afterwards Dakotoes did something YHC didn’t see coming…
He left!
“Wait what?” YHC thought as he drove off.
Granted Dakotoes may have implied it or even said what he was doing. However, YHC couldn’t read between the lines or interpret what was happening. Now here YHC is tasked with leading men on a morning where YHC nearly did not show in the first place. YHC had little warning and no plan, outside of the Dora Dakotoes had wrote on the asphalt. However, YHC did bring something that morning amd it was
Prepardness. Not Prepardnessin the since of an air plan or well devised workout. No, Prepardness in the since of strengthened Gaurdrails that allowed YHC to continue accelerating even when the unexpected happened. Prepardness in the since of a Sheild Lock when Dakotoes needed support during a time of need. Prepardness in the since of having righted my ship so that YHC xould guide and help others.

This Prepardness is something we have discussed in the past few weeks and today presented a real world example of what Prepardness can look like. Because of the many early morning put in and the support of other PAX, YHC was absolutely Prepard this morning and to lead without hesitation. Just 6 months prior YHC would not have had the guardrails or shieldlock to preform such a task.

I want to thank the PAX for their support this morning. Gucci providing the encouragement melodies and others for picking each other up. As mentioned in the disclaimer this Naked Moleskin is not intended as to brag because, as YHC said in COT, any one of the Pax could have answered the call this morning (Shortcut you’ll get there just keep posting). This story, however, was to intended to show that what we a doing is real and it works. YHC is beyond blesses to have found F3 and such a great group of men. Thank you all again and keep accelerating.
