Introduction
Five men showed up in the the gloom, braving the sideways rain. You’d think we were there to play chicken as each dared the others to be the first out of their car (except Spooner of course, who was out and chasing rain drops immediately). Note to self: should there be a term for staying in your car to avoid a beatdown? Fart Snack?! 🤔
Anyhow, we finally gathered around the lot. YHC with a weighted soccer ball in tow which created confusion for some, disdain in others, and quick-witted jokes about big balls for the rest.

Short Mosey along the side of the school (dropping off the weighted ball on the way) up to the front, underneath the awning (because rain).

The Thang
Today we’re doing a mini murph! The normal count is cut in half: 50 pull-ups (bw rows), 100 Merkins, 150 Squats, 1 mile run.
· 5 rounds: 10 rows, 20 merkins, 30 squats, 400m run.
· Last round ends with your reps only to complete the count.
Mosey down to the side of the school for Mary, where YHC had the 15 lb. weight ball waiting.
· Take turns doing BBSU, holding the weighted ball overhead. 15 count, then pass the ball and jump back into the round of Mary.
· 3 rounds total: box-cutters, dying cockroaches, single leg glut thrusters, american hammers, flutter kicks, 1 min. high plank, in-&-outs, some kind of Crab walk dance that QT came up with, etc.
Dumped the ball for an Indian run around the perimeter of the parking lot and back to the flag.
Circle of Trust
We had a nice extended circle of trust. YHC shared about what God’s doing in his life, various guys shared about what’s going on for them as well. Reflected on the restoration counseling can bring, and the importance of receiving accountability in our lives. Let’s listen to the voices around us when they speak into our lives.

Naked Man Moleskin
Lots of jokes about heavy balls and getting hit in the face. You can fill in the blanks. QT had multiple moments of inspiration which led to re-imagined exercises during Mary… thankfully we cut him off before he could throw down another.
Learned at the end of it all that it’s Kathmandid’s birthday 🎉. His gift to himself: No fart sack (or snack) 💪. The jury’s out on whether he enjoyed said gift.
Otherwise, wet & windy but a nice low-key beatdown for the 5 of us.
