The Thang
Mile run for time. It’s a benchmark routine that can evaluate your cardio and your muscular stamina, and gives a good idea of your general fitness. This is not a competition, it’s an evaluation. For each of us.
We ran around the field four times, with clock ticking, not knowing really what to expect. I can say that without exception we all were pleasantly surprised with our times!! Thanks F3! Turns out we run a lot here and our bodies actually have adapted!
Spartan’s younger brother, going across the width of the field. So 50 yard sprint, 10 BIg Boy Sit-ups instead of Merkins, walk back. Rinse and repeat. We got through 7 turns at that before YHC called it so we could get in some other stuff
As in…piggy back rides, wheelbarrows, and rail roads, oh my!
Finished off with 6 minutes of Mary in the grass to cap it off.
Circle of Trust
After being a part of the Cherokee Convergence workout yesterday, where 122 men posted AND 6 FNG’s came out of isolation, I am feeling quite inspired and re-focused on the importance of the stated purpose and mission of F3. The thunderous echo of a battalion of warriors shouting IN CADENCE has me seeing visions of Jericho, or Maximus and his troops before battling the Barbarians, and I see men not just speaking but shouting beams of light into the darkness. Men, we have a gift. We have a calling. We have been empowered and entrusted with the responsibility and the ability to change this world. That happens one man at a time and it starts in our very own hearts. Let’s not forget how the world needs Jesus, let’s not forget how the world needs US, and how F3 is a BRILLIANT way of being men from darkness to light. Let us look around and find men that need community, courage, and cardio. Let’s change west Cobb together.
