Lap 1: “The Burpee Lap”
Bear crawl to the 50, 10 burpees, mosey to corner, 10 squats
Crab walk down endzone to next corner, 10 squats
Bear crawl to the 50, 10 burpees, mosey to corner, 10 squats
Crab walk down endzone back to where we started, 10 squats
*Notes* – Thanks to Wall Ball for helping us know when we were getting close to the 50. There was much rejoicing at the softness of the field. It made Bear crawls sooooo much better. Endzones are incredible long.
Lap 2: “The BBSU Lap”
Sprint down the side, 5 BBSU, Sprint down endzone, 10 BBSU, Sprint down the side, 15 BBSU, Sprint down endzone back to where we started, 20 BBSU
*Notes* – Endzones are much shorter when sprinting. Kathmandid did BBSU like an energizer bunny
Lap 3: “paL sdrawkcaB ehT”
Crawl Bear down the length of endzone, 20 Merkins.
Bernie Sanders down side, 15 Merkins.
Crawl Bear down the length of endzone, 10 Merkins.
Bernie Sanders down side back to where we started, 5 Merkins.
*Notes* – For YHC, this was by far the hardest lap, although it felt good to go all out on the Bernie. Usually there’s fear of tripping over something. We need to do this more often on that nice field. Also, Crawl Bears suck at that distance. Kathmandid seemed to especially enjoy the Crawl Bears. He kept mentioning Jesus…
Lap 4: “The 100’s Lap”
Skip down the side, 100 SSH, best ball (YHC got there first).
Karaoke facing the field down the endzone, 100 Plank Jacks, best ball (Wall Ball got there first).
Skip down the side, 100 calf raises, best ball (QT got there first).
Karaoke facing the field down the endzone, 100 LBC’s, best ball (Kathmandid got there first).
*Notes* – Real men skip, QT. Kathmandid does LBC’s like an energizer bunny. QT’s hours of jump rope paid off for us with the calf raises. Everyone owes Wall Ball a drink for saving us on the plank jacks. YHC was at 43 when Wall Ball finished.
Lap 5: “The Sprint Lap”
Sprint down the side, 30 second rest. Sprint down endzone, 30 second rest.
Sprint down the side, 30 second rest. Sprint down endzone to where we started, and done.
*Notes* – Yak gave YHC a run for his money (see what I did there) on the first sprint. Apparently sprinting loosens up the old bowels for QT. Hopefully the custodial staff at Hillgrove won’t be too upset.
Mosey back to flag. 0615.
Circle of Trust
Count-o-rama, Name-o-rama.
YHC encouraged PAX to try to live in the moment as much as possible. You never know when that “last time” will be. The last time you hold you little girl or little boy in your arms before they get too big. The last time you interact with that person before they move. The last time you work on that project before moving on to another one. YHC struggles to keep his mind in the present and feels he’s not alone in this. Take time to be thankful with what is right in front of you, even if it might get on your nerves sometimes.
Prayers for Spooner. Prayers for Kathmandid and all the nurses and doctors at Kennestone working the COVID floor. Prayers for unity, peace, and love for our country today.
Naked Man Moleskin
Way to push! Mumblechatter was strong this morning, which always makes things easier and better. Thankful, as always, that I get to spend part of my week in the company of High Impact Men.
