Back to the flag to pick up the KBs with 14 PAX.
The Thang
At the flag, the PAX started with 30 KB Burpees (pushup with one hand on the KB, jump into the squat position, curl the KB to your chest, then standup and extend overhead – switch hands each rep). This was potentially the longest amount of time to get to 30 reps of any exercise ever.
Once done with the 30 KB burpees, pick up the KB and run to the fields where we performed the June challenge of 30 pushups, 70 squats and 50 BBSU – with the KB. 15/15 with each hand on the KB for the pushups, 70 goblet squats, and 50 big boy situps with the KB at your chest. In any order, break it up as needed to give your muscles a rest. A total of 150 reps. YHC heard “this sucks” at least 150 times while at the field.
Once done with the challenge for the day, the PAX headed past the fields to the sign and performed another Arms/Legs/Core set with 30 overhead sunrises with a chest press, 70 lunges, and 50 in and outs around the KB. The members of the PAX who were bad at anatomy learned what their hip flexors are. YHC heard “this sucks” less than 150 times at this location, but probably only because the PAX is having a hard time speaking at this location. Probably a combination of poor air circulation at this location and COVID19 in the PAX.
Back to the flag for the COT!
Circle of Trust
QT’s friends and coworkers are headed in the right direction with rehab. Please continue to pray for Ol’ Willy’s friend and coworker, along with Gucci’s friend George.
Naked Man Moleskin
Today was a pretty strenuous beat down. But that happens in life sometimes. Things don’t always go as expected – even if you think that you’re prepared and ready. However, the PAX pushed through a lot this morning. No one gave up, no one got in the their car and left, no one cried about it being too hard (although there was plenty of “sympathizing with each other” during the beatdown). And because no one gave up, because everyone kept putting one foot in front of the other, because we were there to support each other, we all got better and will be better off the next time we squat, situp, pushup, etc. Just like in life, if you keep pushing through the tough times and have the right support system around you, handle it in the proper manner, you will be a better person on the other side of the tragedy, the problem, the issue that sucks in the present. Keep pushing each other and keep supporting each other!
