The Thang

Moseyed to the soccer field. Ever since Aquaman introduced us to The Spartan way back when we launched, YHC has been itching to try it again. Today’s the day.

Sprint 100 yards. Do 10 Merkins. Walk back to start. When last man gets back, rinse/repeat X30

We got through round 20 before YHC called it and headed back to flag. Finished beat down with a 30 second plank. 0615.

Circle of Trust

YHC had a great conversation last night with a few other HIMs. Part of the chat was talking about the importance of doing the small things. Eventually, the small things add up to big changes.

Today’s beat down was a good example of this. We ended up with almost 3 miles and 200 pushups under our belt. But it was one round at a time.

The same is true for any goal in your life. Dream big, and then focus on the NEXT step. Don’t try to get to the goal in one step. Just do one thing that moves you a little closer to your goal.

YHC thinks that too many men are overwhelmed by the magnitude of their dreams. So they give up their big dreams. They dream small dreams and end up living a life of “what-ifs.”

Every “yes” that you say has a bunch of corresponding “no’s” that go with it. So guard your yes. And make choices and sacrifices that move you closer to the dreams God has put in your heart. It takes time!

Naked Man Moleskin

YHC wasn’t sure how this morning would go down. Maybe revolt, maybe merlot, maybe shouts of jubilation.

The men did a great job. They put their heads down and got to work. Everybody pushed past their comfort level.

Jerky had us admiring the sunrise. GaDgEt was flying around like Usain Bolt. Kathmandid probably hated every second of it, but showed up and got the work done.

Great way to kick off the week! SYITG
