Introduction

I worked in some new exercises – I don’t think anybody liked them, but I noticed the mumblechatter disappeared pretty quickly.

Warm-O-Rama

Mosey down to the wind tunnel (to pick up some coupons for later).

The Thang

After the warm-up, we picked up the coupons and ran over to the field.
Everyone brought their heavy balls and handled weights today (kettlebells, dumbbells, water jugs, etc.).

We split into groups of 4-5. One member of the group throws the heavy ball over their head, backwards across the field, turns around, runs after it, picks it up, repeat across the field and same on the way back.
While that group member is throwing and running, the other members are doing burpees while he runs down, Bulgarian split squats on the coupon while he’s running back.

After a minimum of 3 rounds, we changed things up and that’s when people really started to hate me.

We used the handled weights with a bear crawl for half the width of the field (lightpole to sideline and back). While one man from the group was doing that, the others were doing plank push-ups with the feet on the coupon for the trip down, squats for the trip back. I think I might have been the only one doing the plank push-ups.

Everyone got burned out early, so we did some Mercans with side planks to finish the day.

1 pushup, 10 second side plank, 2 pushups, 10 second other side plank, etc. up to 10 pushups. It was awful.

As mentioned at the end of the circle today, remember that someone is watching, depending, counting on you, regardless of if you realize it or not. While the group member was out on the run/crawl, the rest were back doing exercises – you weren’t lollygagging, forcing them to go longer than they should’ve, were you? How you do anything is how you do everything.
