The Thang

Started late because YHC “thought” he was prepared and had today’s beatdown on his phone, but alas, couldn’t find it, so a slight panic crept in. During warm-ups, YHC’s brain was on overdrive (not fun at 5:30a) coming up with a plan.

We mosey’ed over to the back parking lot (because that’s where we ended up) and YHC acted like that was the plan all along. By the time we got there, I knew what we were going to do. Arms, Legs, Abs (YHC’s standard), three exercises for each, three sets (25, 20, 15).

Arms – Merkins, Shoulder Taps, Overhead Press
Legs – Squats, High Knees, Lunges
Abs – LBCs, Freddie Mercury, BBSUs

Then YHC added 10 burpees and a 30-second plank after each round, because why not at this point.

In between rounds YHC knew he wanted a “cardio event” but again, no real plan, so YHC faked his way through that one as well. After Round 1 we mosey’ed the back parking lot. After Round 2, partner-up and wheelbarrow to the light and back. Gentleman asked if a Sack race was next, and not wanting to let Gentleman down, YHC said “actually yes.” Truthfully, YHC had nothing planned but put the PAX in two lines and we raced! Bernie Sanders to the light, sprint back. Smiles had by all.

After the third round, we mosey’ed back to the flag and called it three minutes early.

Circle of Trust

Prayers for Swedish Ham and the Mrs. as they work through their 5-year-old learning about death and mortality.
Prayers for Yak heading out of town for a week.
Prayers for Gucci’s son as they being insulin in their pump today and the pain associated with inserting the pump.

Naked Man Moleskin

Y’all, first I apologize for not being more prepared. But hopefully you still had a great workout. Not my best for sure, but hopefully you learned that leading doesn’t have to be overly complicated. I think we sometimes get in our own head and think we have to have the greatest, most entertaining workout ever, or we will let down the PAX, and that’s not the case. There are tons of different variations we can do to get stronger, get better, get faster … we just have to step up and do it.
