Introduction

QIC called an audible to make the BD more COVID-friendly. Keep our distance and no coupons.

Warm-O-Rama

YHC arrived early to find no cars in the lot. But there was a mysterious figure jogging in the lot. Wait, that man’s gait resembles DakoToes! Sure enough, DakoToes was so eager to attend the Beat Down that he forgot to drive and just ran. As we waited for 0530, Dakotoes mentioned all of the animals that have the world to themselves right now. Interesting you should mention animals….

Mosey up and around One Tree Hill, hop Cheer Dad’s curb and climb the hill to Forgotten Field. Run down the edge of FF and make a hard left toward the Big Field. PAX were instructed to meditate on the following quote as we work out: “You cannot trust what you don’t love.” Circle up under the lights for:

Plank Jacks 10X IC
Weed Pickers 10 X IC
Mountain Man Poopers 10X IC
Bat Wings (LBAC’s, Overhead Claps, Seal Claps, Pretzels, and Cherry Pickers)

The Thang

QIC had an epic beat down planned incorporating throwing kettle bells across a vast expanse, then using animal-themed motions to retrieve said bells. But in light of current situation, he elected to forego the bells. The animals, however, can stay.

First, spread out on the field. Bernie Sanders halfway across (50 yds.), then turn and sprint the rest of the way. Do the same thing coming back. Thankfully the PAX realized there were some coupons left on the field. QT and Wheels graciously removed the obstacles before we began the Bern.

Once back where we started, PAX were instructed to line up at the first light pole. There are three light poles on the Big Field. In planning, YHC thought there were 4. No matter. Improvisation at it’s finest.

First round: Bear crawl to second light pole. Crab walk to third light pole.

Second round: Frog jump to second light pole. Crawl bear to third light pole. Crawl bears were unpleasant and surprising.

Third round: Donkey kick to second light pole. Lunge to third light pole. Donkey kicks were a crowd pleaser. Wheels needed instructions repeated several times. YHC worries about his hearing.

Mosey back across to where we started (true confessions: YHC had to get his phone). Mosey over to The Walls.

PAX found some wall and spread out. Wall sit until Swedish Ham says we are done. Then feet on wall at a 45 degree angle until QT says we are done. Back to wall sit until Monkey Samurai says we are done. This was a fatal mistake and one which will not be repeated. 97 minutes later we did one more balls-to-the-wall, this time with GaDgEt in charge. Well, that was fun.

Mosey over to picnic tables for a quick round of elevens. On the menu are step-ups and merkins. YHC regrets not explaining elevens more clearly before beginning and expresses thanks to the PAX for filling in the information to those that needed it.

Mosey back to flag. YHC planned to do Thor’s Hammer, but because he is a just and merciful Q, let the PAX decide. They decided to do a round of Mary instead. YHC doesn’t remember all of the exercises (he may have blacked out) but there were definitely box cutters, BBSU, lbc’s, Superman, six-inches, pickle pounders, Freddy Mercury’s, and a plank. Oh and those weird sideways-ankle-toucher-thingys that one-ply likes.

0613 on the dot. Well done gents.

Circle of Trust

Back to our quote, “You cannot trust what you don’t love.” YHC played off of what Wall Ball said on Wednesday about making sure our priorities are straight right now. There is so much fear. If we are having a hard time trusting God right now, let’s try to get to know Him a bit better. The more you know Him, the more you will love Him. Which means the more you can trust Him. The waves of fear will come. Let’s train ourselves to look away from the world and toward the One who has overcome the world. He is good. HE IS GOOD.

Naked Man Moleskin

Way to work hard and push each other. Also, shout out to all our brothers who are making the difficult decision to stay home because of sickness or compromised relatives. We know you want to be out here with us. Thank you for making the wise choice. This too shall pass and we will all be back together again soon.

Fear is faith in the enemy.
