Easy mosey from the flag to the start of the lower loop.
The Thang
Everything was done on the lower loop of the “Eight” (approx. 6/10 mile) and was divided into 4 sections.
The first section (2/10 mile) to be run at “Base” speed – A comfortable working pace at 50% maximum speed.
The second section (2/10 mile) at “Burn” speed – A faster pace at 75% effort.
The third section (1/10 mile) at “Max” speed – Running as hard as you can (100% effort).
The fourth section (1/10 mile) at “Recover” speed – A brisk walking speed that allows for recovery; generally around 25% effort.

YHC’s thought about the BD today is that it often mirrors our daily lives. We sometimes forget that with all of the “running” we do from day to day, we also need to find time to “recover”. Without proper recovery time, we merely run ourselves into the ground.
